This bum roll is a very versatile skirt support, suitable for a number of different styles worn during the Georgian period and beyond.

Hip-pads and bustles have been used throughout history to give the illusion of wider hips, and therefore a smaller waist. This design of bum roll cleverly combines the two, with a simple tie at the waist for ease of dressing. It can also be worn in conjunction with a bustle if you would like more fullness all around!

I make these bum rolls from cotton drill, a sturdy fabric, and fill them with stuffing. If you would like a more exaggerated shape, message me and we can discuss different design options.
